At LION, we are building a membership association for aspiring and existing independent news entrepreneurs, which means we are dedicated to designing for a future that centers our members’ needs.
To that end, we’re excited to announce Chloe Kizer as our new product manager. She’ll be responsible for strengthening LION’s offerings by managing relevant membership and industry data, the systems and technology we and our members use, and internal processes to help LION’s team execute on their work.
Over the past year, we’ve worked with Chloe on Project Oasis, where she led the development of the database and research report for our partner UNC-Chapel Hill; as a teaching assistant for our LION Entrepreneurial Skills Series courses, where she ensured a smooth experience for each LION member; and as an operations consultant over the past few months, where she’s helped us clean up our membership database and improve our membership workflows. Chloe has been a much appreciated Swiss Army knife as our growing organization’s needs have quickly evolved, and we’re thrilled we can bring her on in a full-time capacity.
Chloe has been an independent consultant for the past two and a half years, helping startups of all shapes and sizes with project management and operations improvements. She is dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs through the development of sustainable processes.
After growing up in North Carolina and Arizona and spending some time in her soul city of Edinburgh, Scotland, she now lives in Durham, North Carolina.
Chloe will be overseeing the Oasis database and future industry reports for LION; continuing to manage and improve our backend membership data and systems; helping us launch a new website this year; building better systems for tracking and reporting out the impact of our work; and using organizational tools to improve our internal workflows, processes and communication. You can reach her at [email protected].
