LION members can now access discounted AI tools from Nota to maximize human-created content
Nota's AI-powered tools allow publishers to reformat and optimize content across text, audio, and video formats.
LION Publishers is pleased to announce a new partnership with Nota AI to offer discounted rates to members.
In our June 2024 member survey, 65 percent of our members who completed the survey said they are interested in discounts on tools that will help them do better journalism. And 80 percent of members who completed the survey said they are looking for ways to grow their business.
The LION membership team is building relationships with businesses and organizations that can provide valuable benefits and services that address the needs of members and help independent publishers save time and money so they can focus on new strategies for growing their businesses.
Nota provides a suite of AI-powered tools designed for publishers to reformat and optimize content across text, audio, and video formats. Their products include tools for generating headlines, summaries, videos, and images, as well as optimizing content for SEO and social media. By streamlining the content creation process, Nota helps publishers increase engagement, reduce production time, and boost content distribution.
Some LION members, like AFRO News, are already utilizing services from Nota to streamline their workflows and expand the reach of their original reporting.
Dana M. Peck, director of digital solutions, told LION it has helped streamline their workflows. “Our regular web editor was on medical leave for some time, so two of us filled in for her while continuing with our duties, and we are so thankful for Nota saving us so much time,” says Peck, adding, “I estimate it now takes us about 15 minutes to produce our newsletter as opposed to 30-45 minutes without Nota.”
And AFRO President Benjamin Phillips told LION that the tags feature in Nota helps ensure all posts are tagged consistently, “eliminating instances where this step might be skipped by the team due to workload,” and the tools for generating custom URLs have streamlined their workflows.
As more AI tools like Nota become available, LION continues to engage with experts in the journalism field and members to surface important questions, share resources, and identify new opportunities for independent digital publishers.
