Thanks to the generous support of the Democracy Fund, LION Publishers will be offering travel stipends from $250 to $500 to help our publisher members or prospective members attend the upcoming LION Summit in Nashville on October 24-25, 2019. These stipends will help cover the cost of air fare, hotel and/or gasoline costs for travel to the Summit. You will need to book your travel, and LION Publishers will reimburse part of the costs.
The stipends are only available for people based in the United States and who are LION publisher members in good standing or those who intend to become members. This is not available for associate members or vendors. Please fill out the application below (or go to the Google Form here) to be considered for a travel stipend. Preference will be given for people of color, women and those with financial challenges. If you are chosen, you will also get a complimentary admission to the Summit, or refund if you have already purchased a registration.
All recipients of the travel stipends will be expected to volunteer at the LION Summit in some capacity. If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected]
The deadline to apply is August 16, 2019. Good luck!
